PLEASURE BECOMES PAIN A DEADLY TEST OF FATE

Jam-packed with thrills, sex and violence; The Stage proudly presents the World Premiere of a new adaptation of James M. Cain's notorious 1934 novel. Frank Chambers, a young drifter, makes a pit stop at a rural California diner for a meal and ends up working there. After beginning a passionate sadomasochistic love affair with the diner’s operator, Cora, things become deadly as they plot to murder her husband in order to start a new life together without losing the diner.  After a failed first attempt they soon realize escaping your fate is not that simple. The authorities get involved putting their relationship to the test.  Breaking the point where pleasure becomes pain one must make a decision to save themselves or save the other.

...it’s a pleasingly moody and suspenseful thriller that’s a must-see for fans of noir and hard-boiled crime yarns.
